While his counterpart, the High Priestess, invites us to trust our intuition, the Hierophant favors conservative over nonconformist routes in terms of relationships, education, career, and finances. When he appears upright in a reading, it is a call to adhere to tried-and-true belief systems and institutions; and to favor conventions and social norms over unconventional methods. Now is not the time to gamble or take risks.
