Ten of Wands
Wands

Upright
After a long journey, the upright Ten of Wands shows that you’ve finally reached your destination. There’s plenty to rejoice in, for you succeeded not only in overcoming hurdles but also in attaining a big goal, such as finishing college, completing a project, or starting a job.
However, it also comes with heavy, often overwhelming, obligations, leaving you spent, on the brink of burnout, and overburdened by tasks that you feel you’re solely responsible for.
This card highlights the importance of self-care and delegation. Don’t take more than you can handle. Learn to prioritize critical workload. Most importantly, seek support, understanding that “A burden shared is a burden halved”.
Reversed
A reversal takes the Ten of Wands’ negative connotations to extremes. It implies you have succumbed to the weight of responsibilities and feel trapped in your situation. You’re spread too thin and flooded with tasks, yet unable to delegate. Sometimes, this results in avoidance of obligations.
As with the upright position, this card prompts you to strive for work-life balance by surrendering control – or at least sharing some of it. Identify aspects you’re most stressed about, then explore ways to ease the burden. Often, this can be done simply by assigning tasks to others. We can find greater joy in our duties when we don’t neglect our well-being.
