Six of Pentacles

Pentacles

Six of Pentacles tarot card

Upright

Like the Justice card, the Six of Pentacles embodies karmic law and reciprocity. It reminds us that we receive what we put out into the world and vice versa. Upright, it can mean that you are financially secure enough to extend a hand, while still maintaining a healthy, stable flow of resources. Resources are not limited to finances; it may also be energy, time, and other non-material wealth. The card could also mean that you are being offered generosity as a receiver. Accept it with gratitude and an open heart, knowing that charity is a circle. Support is an opportunity to build self-sufficiency; to pay it forward in the future.

Reversed

Because the Six of Pentacles is all about balanced giving and receiving, a reversed one indicates unequal dynamics. One overgives, the other simply takes and takes. If you are the giver, you might be overly charitable to the point of depletion or exploitation. Alternatively, it can signify ineffective management of resources, a tendency to hoard wealth, or offering assistance in exchange for favors. If you’re the recipient, it signifies reluctance to seek help or the abuse of someone’s generosity. This card encourages intentional, open-hearted charity. Resources flow more effortlessly with healthy boundaries - and an exchange that sustains the energy of both the giver and the receiver.
